Gaming

Gaming subscriptions have a way of quietly draining your wallet. Between Discord Nitro, Fortnite Crew, and Nintendo Switch Online, monthly fees stack up faster than your high score. When you decide to cut those costs, Tocancel makes the exit simple. No hunting for contact forms, no waiting on hold; you send a professional cancellation letter by registered post from the comfort of your home.

Is it still worth it?

Rising fees

Subscription prices keep climbing. Services like Ubisoft and Twitch charge recurring amounts that add up quickly, especially when paired with other entertainment plans. If your budget has tightened or you simply want to stop overspending, you can leave these services without delay. Pro tip: List all your active gaming subscriptions for a week. The total often surprises people.

Unused features

Maybe the service sits idle. You signed up excited, but now Minecraft Realms or Chess.com no longer hold your attention. Paying for features you never touch is a waste of money. As a result, cancelling those subscriptions that no longer fit your habits is the smart move.

Better alternatives

Your gaming tastes evolve. You might shift from Geoguessr to The Elder Scrolls Online, leaving older subscriptions behind. When your preferences change, your subscription list should too. Tocancel ensures you can make that switch smoothly, without friction.

The rights that protect you

In Canada, the Consumer Protection Act gives you the right to cancel subscriptions, and companies must honour your request. The Competition Bureau of Canada also emphasizes that you can dispute unauthorized charges and request refunds for services you didn't use. In practice, this means you are not trapped by a recurring fee. Always keep proof of your cancellation. Never assume silence means you're cancelled; get written confirmation. This is where registered post becomes your best ally.

How Tocancel helps

We manage cancellation letters for over 100 gaming services. Tocancel generates a tailored letter specific to each company's requirements, prints it, applies an official postage stamp, and sends it by registered post. You don't need a printer or a trip to Canada Post. You track everything online from start to finish. Therefore, whether you're cutting costs, reducing clutter, or chasing a new hobby, Tocancel takes the friction out of subscription management.
