VPN and Security

You signed up for a VPN or security service to protect your data, but what happens when the protection no longer fits your life? Whether you're facing sluggish speeds, rising fees, or simply found a better deal, cancelling should not add to your stress. Tocancel handles the entire process for you—sending a professional cancellation letter by registered post, straight from your home, with no printer required.

Reasons for cancellation

Poor service and performance

You expect fast, reliable connections when you trust a VPN with your online activity. If your provider like Nordvpn or Expressvpn constantly drops your connection or their support team never responds, that service is failing its core promise. Your time and money deserve better.

High fees and hidden costs

Subscriptions add up quietly. Providers such as Surfshark, Panda Security, and Bitdefender charge recurring fees that can strain your monthly budget. If you've noticed these costs creeping up, or you've found a cheaper alternative, cutting this expense is a reasonable and smart move.

Better alternatives exist

Maybe your new internet plan includes built-in security tools, or a friend recommended a faster, more affordable VPN. Switching providers is a valid choice, and you are not locked in forever. You have the power to choose what works best for your digital life.

Your rights when you cancel

In the Philippines, the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394) protects you. Service providers must disclose their cancellation terms upfront and cannot impose hidden fees for ending your subscription. If you've been overcharged or denied a legitimate refund, you have the right to dispute it. This means you don't have to accept confusing terms and conditions at face value—you can push back with confidence.
